3D Printing
Go from being a passive consumer of technology to an active creator of the physical world. This hands-on course covers the entire product lifecycle, from the initial spark of an idea to digital modeling and final physical manifestation on the print bed. Operating as a “learning laboratory,” students will master the mechanics of FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) printers, dive into the science of material properties, and explore the artistry of organic digital sculpting.
Requirements:
Students must have a 3D printer at home to complete weekly assignments.
A laptop computer capable of running slicing software, TinkerCAD, and Blender (see link for more details).
A pair of digital calipers.
Basic hand tools (hex keys, snips, spatula) are highly recommended.
